Bio

Jennifer Breedon is a Georgia native and just moved to Grantville with her husband, Ben, and children.  She has a beautiful step daughter, Maggie, and just welcomed their baby boy, Knox, in November of last year.  Mrs. Breedon has been teaching since 2005.  She has taught at WES since 2015.  For the last 5 years, she has taught Science and Social Studies and is really excited to be able to bring those subjects to life for her students. Mrs. Breedon earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of West Georgia in 2004.  In 2008, she earned her Master's Degree in Instructional Technology at Troy University.  It was Mrs. Breedon’s great honor to be the 2016-2017 Whitesburg Teacher of the Year.  She completed the National Institute for STEM Education program in 2018 and became a nationally STEM certified teacher.  She is also Google 1 certified. In the 2018-2019 school year, she was the recipient of the the Bright Ideas Grant and the Pets in the Classroom Grant. Her classroom is the home of two leopard geckos, Peanut and Rosie.   Mrs. Breedon is the chairperson of the Science/Social Studies Vertical Team, a member of the STEAM Team, Co-Creator of the yearbook, as well as, Co-Facilitator of Girls Who Code, Science Olympiad, and Jr. Beta Club.  In her spare time, Mrs. Breedon enjoys hiking, cooking, and kayaking.  She spends as much time as she can enjoying family, friends, and her two cats.
