Ms. Hicks is entering her sixth year in education.  She served as a Paraprofessional for three years in another district and began her teaching career two years ago at Whitesburg Elementary serving as a Kindergarten teacher.  Ms. Hicks is from Roanoke, Alabama but has lived in Carrollton the past three years.  She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix.  Ms. Hicks loves building relationships with her students and helping them reach their goals.  She strives to be an advocate for her students by modeling helping others and never missing an opportunity to encourage them.  In her free time, Ms. Hicks enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
