Sandy Durham was born and raised in Carrollton Georgia.  She attended Central School and graduated in 1979.  She became a Master Cosmetologist in 1980 and enjoyed that career for 15 years.  During that time, she attended the University of West Georgia and received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with Honors.  She began her teaching career at Central Elementary School, where she taught Kindergarten for two years.  She then moved to Whitesburg Elementary and has enjoyed teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten for twentyone years.
