Bio

Nina Boyd has taught at Whitesburg Elementary since 2015.  Prior to that, she taught in Douglas County for ten years. She has had the honor of being named teacher of the year in 2012.  She earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia.  She has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Central Michigan University. She is an E3 Innovator for Carroll County, team leader for 3rd grade, co-facilitator for Girls Who Code, co-facilitator of the Science Olympiad Team, and member of the PBIS team.

Mrs. Boyd has two daughters Kaymen, a 6th grader at Central Middle School, and Braylee, a 4th grader at Whitesburg Elementary as well as two step sons, Miles and Asher, who attend school in Cherokee County.  She is proud to be a part of Whitesburg Elementary.
