Beverly Noell is a music teacher at Whitesburg Elementary School and Central
Middle School in Carroll County, where she teaches general music, string orchestra,
recorders, and chorus. Ms. Noell is a frequent performer, both as a soloist and ensemble
player. She has coordinated flute festivals, presented master classes, and has served as
an adjudicator at numerous festivals and auditions.
Ms. Noell received her masters degree in flute performance and her bachelors degree in
music education from California State University, Fresno. She is currently working on her Eds.
degree in Instructional Technology at the University of West Georgia.
She has received numerous performance awards including the Rose Pollack
Award, and first prize in the East Bay Concerto Competition. In 2006 she was honored in
Carnegie Hall with the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation Award for Teaching Excellence.
Ms. Noell has performed at the National Flute Association conventions and has appeared
in masterclasses given by artists such as Julius Baker, Jean Pierre Rampal, Jill Felber,
and Laurel Zucker.
She is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, Georgia Music
Educators Association, a member of Mu Phi Epsilon, and an
honorary member of Tau Beta Sigma.
