I began my educational journey at Auburn University studying to be a Child Life Specialist in the hopes of working at a children's hospital in the future. However, as I entered my second year of college, I began working at an elementary school's after-school program. I fell in love with education and quickly changed my major! I graduated from Auburn in 2006 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I began an online Master's program through Walden University, and then continued my education by earning my Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of West Georgia.

I have just started my tenth year teaching! I am lucky to say all my ten years have been at Whitesburg Elementary! My first five years were spent in third grade, and I have just begun my fifth year in fifth grade!  My fifth graders always keep me laughing and make my job pretty awesome!

I have been married for seven years to my husband, Nolan. We have two adorable kids, Parker, 3 and Emma, 1. We also have a chocolate lab, Chloe who is full of energy! I am a huge Auburn fan so football season is always my favorite time of the year! I love running, spending time with my family, and being outdoors! Teaching is my favorite hobby and I seriously love my job!
